Tennessee child psychologist arrested on child porn charges at Hollywood hotel

A school child psychologist from Tennessee was arrested on child pornography charges in South Florida.

Richard Pitcock, 51, of Ashland City, Tennessee, was arrested Tuesday on 25 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of using a computer to compile child pornography.

According to a Broward Sheriff’s Office report, Pitcock was downloading child pornography on a computer at the Saint Maurice Beach Inn on Michigan Street in Hollywood.

An investigation by the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began in July after it was determined that a particular IP address was being used to share child pornography at various hotels, Detective Nicholas Masters wrote in his report.

Detectives traced the IP address to the Saint Maurice Beach Inn and executed a search warrant in room 34. Although the room was empty, detectives found Pitcock’s belongings inside, Masters wrote
