Florida Cop Gets Life in Prison for Paying to See Girl Raped

Saturday, April 28th, 2018

I will start off by saying that this story brought tears to my eyes, so much so that I didn’t know that I could finish writing the story. Nevertheless I have a job to do and it requires a tough skin.
A former Jacksonville, Florida police officer has been sentenced to life in prison for paying a Texas woman to sexually abuse her 3-year-old daughter and send photos to the officer.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office sent out a news release noting that former Jacksonville Police Officer Michael Eugene Williams was sentenced on Monday. He pleaded guilty in June 2017 to sex trafficking of a child.
The investigation began after the sheriff’s office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A search of Williams’ mobile home on Normandy Boulevard uncovered hundreds of child pornography images and videos. 450 images and videos of child pornography were found on Williams’ cellphone, along with an explicit 18-second video of a young naked girl, court documents state.
In February 2016 the 61-year-old Williams met the Texas woman on the internet and asked her to photograph the sexual abuse of her then-3-year-old daughter and to sell the images to him. The mother consented and sent over 50 videos and pictures of her sexually abusing her own daughter.
Williams would ask the mother to send photos of the little girl performing sexual acts on the mother and other people also. Prosecutors say that Williams sent at least 19 Western Union wire transfer payments to the mother.
Williams received life in prison and the woman received 60 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of production of child pornography.
As part of his sentencing Williams was ordered to pay $194,905 to the victim, who is still a child, and forfeit electronic equipment used in the sex trafficking, including a

Miami Officer Arrested for Running Ponzi Scheme on Other Cops

Saturday, April 28th, 2018

A Miami cop was arrested by the FBI this week at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as he tried to board a flight to Costa Rica– skipping town to avoid prosecution for his Ponzi scheme loan company.
Miami Police Department Officer Dermis Hernandez, 41, ran a Ponzi scheme that targeted active and retired cops. But it was one of Hernandez’s colleagues who tipped off investigators that something wasn’t right about the officer’s investment practices.
Hernandez is the second Miami police officer arrested in 2018 so far. Officer Adrian Santos was arrested in January for doing cocaine at popular Miami nightclub E11even.
The Miami U.S. Attorney’s Office reports that Hernandez owned and operated a Costa Rican loan company that deceived clients into expecting returns of over 20 percent.
But federal prosecutors said his company was a scam. He used the proceeds from his company to enhance his personal lifestyle and payback early investors.
FBI Agent Sarah Halleran said,
“In truth, Hernandez and his co-conspirators used the investor funds for personal enrichment and to pay the returns of other investors.”
Hernandez lured clients to invest in his company; he claimed the investments carried little to no risk. Hernandez’s company purportedly provided high-interest loans to property owners in Costa Rica.  But Hernandez showed potential clients fake papers that depicted that his company had property rights in Costa Rica.
Clients would then invest in Hernandez’s company under the guise that they were going to be repaid.
One of Hernandez’s clients paid him $10,000 from a personal police retirement fund; the client expected a 20% return on the investment per year, but of course that investment return never came.
Another victim told FBI agents he was guaranteed a 24 percent return on his personal investment of $125,000, but only received $17,000 back in interest payments.
An officer that invested with Hernandez didn’t get his expected return and then went

North Carolina Cop Robs Bank and Gets Arrested 5 Min. Later

Saturday, April 28th, 2018

Desperate people do desperate things. A North Carolina cop acted under that notion when he robbed a bank at gun-point on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputy Jeff Athey, 51, of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office was arrested for robbing the F&M bank in Rockwell, NC.
Athey’s past includes working as a private security contractor for Blackwater in Iraq and Afghanistan during the wars.
WXII 12 News reports the robbery happened at the F&M Bank just after 3:30 pm. According to Rockwell police, Athey walked into the bank and pulled out a black Glock 42 handgun.
Athey then pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money. Athey got away with only $1,000 before driving away in a silver Mustang vehicle. But just 5 minutes later he was arrested at an intersection. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office fired Athey hours after his arrest.
Davidson County Sheriff David Grice released this statement:
“I am shocked and appalled as anyone else about Mr. (Jeff) Athey’s behavior. During his employment with our agency he gave no indications that this type of behavior could occur. We’re not going to tolerate this kind of behavior, obviously, and we don’t tolerate anybody who violates the law or violates the policies at the sheriff’s office. They’re not going to be employed with me if they do.”
Athey was taken to the Rowan County Detention Center, charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and placed under a $500,000 bond.
The Rockwell Police Department was assisted by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department, Granite Quarry Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Las Vegas Cop Sexually Assaults Family Member then goes on SWAT Standoff with Police

Saturday, April 28th, 2018

What happens in Vegas is not staying in Vegas for this story, because a Las Vegas cop sexually assaulted his family member for years.
And the officer barricaded himself in his own home once he found out police were on the way to arrest him– prompting an hours long standoff.
Officer Bret Theil, 38, of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was arrested on Thursday morning after he barricaded himself at his house to avoid being arrested for sexually abusing a member of his family from August 2005 to January 2017.  The victim was just 7 years old when the abuse began.
Thiel was tasked with guarding the door of gunman Stephen Paddock’s hotel room during the October 2017 Las Vegas shooting massacre at the  Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Theil earns a whopping 6-figure salary of $150,000 annually. But that figure will soon be $0 as Theil is expected to be fired.
On Wednesday February 7, 2018 Theil was at his Corn Creek Canyon area home when he got a call from his job that he had been indicted by a grand jury on several charges related to sexual assault of one of his minor family members. Thiel agreed to turn himself in, but never did.
Instead Thiel  sent a threatening email to his victim and then barricaded himself within his home claiming he was suicidal, reports Las Vegas Now.
So Las Vegas police arrived at Thiel’s home to apprehend him around 6pm. The SWAT team was even dispatched to try to extract Theil from the home. But he was not coming out easily as he stayed barricaded for 11 hours.
It was not until 5am the next morning that Thiel finally surrendered and accepted his fate.
Details about Theil’s charges have not been released yet because of the ongoing investigation.

Seattle ICE Immigration Attorney Arrested for Stealing Immigrants Identities

Saturday, April 28th, 2018

Chief Counsel Raphael Sanchez for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in Seattle was arrested for stealing immigrants’ identities and then paying his bills with the stolen information.
Sanchez resigned on Monday and had his first court appearance on Thursday.
Sanchez devised a scheme to use immigrants’ identities in order to defraud financial institutions including American Express, Bank of America Citibank, Discover, and JPMorgan Chase, according to a charging document, which was entered in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
Sanchez stole the identities of seven people in various stages of immigration proceedings to defraud credit card companies.
Prosecutors with the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Section investigated the incident. The Public Integrity Section pursues efforts to combat corruption by public officials.
In or around October 2013 to October 2017 Sanchez stole and used the identifies of seven immigrants for his own financial benefit.
The charging document contained few specifics about the allegations, but did give one example: It said that in April 2016 Sanchez stole the name, Social Security number and birth date of a Chinese national.
Sanchez then sent an email from his government account to his Yahoo account that included personal information pertaining to the Chinese national identified only as R.H. The information Sanchez sent included an image of R.H.’s U.S. permanent resident card, the biographical page of R.H.’s Chinese passport and a utility bill in R.H.’s name from Puget Sound Energy.
Sanchez is charged with one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft, both are felonies.
ICE in Seattle has been at the forefront of illegal immigration. They arrested dozens of undocumented immigrants in September’s Operation Safe City, which was a four-day effort in which the administration targeted “sanctuary cities” around the country, including Seattle, where local officials do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

North Carolina Police Helicopter Pilot Arrested for 8 Counts of Child Sex Offense

Saturday, April 28th, 2018

A Charlotte, NC cop  sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl for years. And the whole time he was in the air flying the police helicopter looking for criminals.
Perhaps the eye in the sky doesn’t lie, because now he is the criminal.
Officer Matthew Porter, 54, of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department  (CMPD) was arrested on Tuesday after being charged with 8 counts of first degree sex offense and 20 counts of indecent liberties with a minor.
The victim, now 17, reported the incidents in Nevada, where she now lives. The victim told officials with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office that she was assaulted by Porter, whom she described as a family friend, between July of 2010 and December of 2013. The victim lived in Charlotte during that time, police say.
On Feb. 8, 2018, the Nye County Sheriff’s Office contacted CMPD with this information and CMPD immediately began an investigation. Detectives caught a plane to interview the victim in Nevada, as well as, family members there and in North Carolina.
On Tuesday morning, detectives interviewed Porter at CMPD headquarters and then placed him under arrest.
Porter, who is assigned to the Aviation Unit, has been placed on unpaid administrative leave. He has been employed by CMPD since July 26, 1995. There is no indication these incidents occurred while he was on duty. In 1997 Porter began flying the police helicopter.
Statement from Chief Kerr Putney:
“I am disappointed that one of our officers is accused of this very serious offense. We represent the law and absolutely will not tolerate one of our own violating it. It’s our job to protect this community. We have no place in our ranks for anyone who would violate the trust of a child in this manner.”
Porter is the second law enforcement officer to be arrested in Charlotte within the past 5 days.

Florida Cop Gets Life in Prison for Paying to See Girl Raped

MIAMI COP ARRESTED FOR SNORTING COCAINE IN CLUB

Wednesday, January 10th, 2018

The term “Turning up” is used by urban America that describes disorderly conduct via alcohol or illicit drugs. A Miami, Florida cop was arrested for “Turning Up” via snorting cocaine up his nose at a popular south Florida club known as E11even Miami.
The nightclub’s surveillance video confirmed his actions. The video hasn’t been released yet because it’s considered investigative file.
Officer Adrian Santos was arrested on January 9, 2018 for his involvement in drug use that occurred in November 2017. Santos was at E11even Miami on November 17, 2017 partying while off duty and not in uniform. But the Friday night turned bad for Santos when he began snorting cocaine on the dance floor. Club security noticed Santos inhaling a white powdery substance from a clear plastic bag.
Club security then notified officers that were on scene for general security. Santos was escorted outside of the club by security and turned over to waiting officers. It was at that moment that officers took Santos to the hospital to conduct a blood test, which tested positive for cocaine.
The arrest was delayed until the actual white substance was tested.
Forensic analysis positively identified the powdery white substance as cocaine on Monday January 8. Subsequently, Santos was arrested the next day.
Miami-Dade County State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said in a statement:
“Every police officer who has taken an oath to enforce the law also has a duty to respect and follow the law. There are no exceptions. [Tuesday’s] charges come after a vigorous criminal investigation undertaken by the Miami Police Department and the state attorney’s office aimed at ensuring the integrity of our law enforcement community.”
Santos is now suing the city claiming that he was forcibly made to take a blood test on the night in question.
Santos was charged with cocaine possession and he is suspended with pay pending termination.

Florida State Trooper Has Sex with Man’s Wife in Patrol Car

Thursday, December 28th, 2017

A Florida Highway Patrol trooper resigned Wednesday in the midst of being investigated for having sex on duty with a crash victim.
The crash victim’s husband Robert Abruzzese blew the whistle on the affair after receiving a text message that was sent to his wife’s phone from Trooper Scott Maus. The latest sexual arrangement between trooper Maus and the woman occurred in a church parking lot.
NBC 8 reports that Mrs. Abruzzese got into a car accident on Dec. 8 on Date Palm Boulevard in Port Richey, FL Maus was the responding officer to the scene where four people went to the hospital for critical injuries. But in a strange twist Maus offered to follow Mrs. Abruzzese home to make sure she arrived safely.
Once at Mrs. Abruzzese’s house, Maus exchanged numbers with her. Within days flirtatious text messages began to erupt between the two.
On December 20th Maus and Mrs. Abruzzese met at the Magnuson Hotel on Highway US-19 for sex, Maus was reportedly off duty on this occasion. But then on Dec. 21st Mrs. Abruzzese and Maus had sex in the back of a church parking lot inside of Maus’s patrol car while he was on duty.
On December 22nd Maus sent a text message to Mrs. Abruzzese’s phone saying,
“‘So, do you like being my little whore for a trooper?’
But to Maus’s surprise Mr. Abruzzese had his wife’s phone at the time and replied to the text saying, “I don’t know, let me ask your supervisor.”
In a previous exchange with Mrs. Abruzzese, Maus wrote, “I love your hair and that dress. It really shows off your curves.” Mrs. Abruzzese responded, “You look hot in your uniform. I would love to see you with the hat on too.”
Maus then tried to even things over by offering to get Abruzzese out of traffic tickets via this text message:

New Orleans Cop Rehired after Shooting at Unarmed Man to Receive Three Years Backpay

Friday, December 22nd, 2017

A New Orleans police officer got his job back earlier today after he was fired in 2014 for shooting at a suspect that supposedly had a gun during a high speed chase.
The investigation revealed that the suspect did not have a gun and was actually attempting to flee from the officer, but the New Orlean’s  Civil Service Commission cited a lack of evidence to support the officer’s firing, reports WWL.
The officer’s attorney Kevin Boshea said his client was eager to return to police work.
Isaiah Shannon was a six-year veteran officer with the New Orlean’s Police Department when in 2013 he encountered a Chevrolet Impala in what he described as a high-crime area. Shannon was on a special task force designated to target hot zone crime areas.
The two occupants in the Impala were not wearing seat belts, so Officer Shannon and the other officers on scene attempted to make a traffic stop.
The driver of the Impala refused to stop as it ran several stop signs and red lights, eventually losing control and crashing into a pickup truck.
Officers were then able to force the driver out of the car and onto the ground.
But the passenger identified as Terrell Chapman ignored Shannon’s commands not to move and instead reached for a gun jumped in the back seat and ran from the vehicle, according to the officer.
Shannon said when he saw Chapman reaching, he pulled out his department-issued gun and fired a shot at Chapman, narrowly missing him.
But higher ranking officer Lt. Ken Burns stated that Shannon shot at Chapman after he was already out of the vehicle and running away.
There was private surveillance video that captured the encounter, but the footage was grainy and without audio. The video revealed Chapman exiting the vehicle and the crowd reacting to a gunshot.
NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison fired Officer Shannon in November 2014,

North Carolina Ex-Cop Writes Jail Letters to Teen Girl he Impregnated, Resulting in Further Prison Time

Tuesday, December 12th, 2017

It is not uncommon for men to get lonely in jail, but a fired North Carolina police officer took it too far when he attempted to contact a now 15-year-old girl he impregnated.
James Blair, 51, is a former cop with the Lowell Police Department. PINAC News first reported on how he impregnated a 14-year-old girl in 2016.
Blair has been in prison since March 2017 after he plead guilty to felony statutory rape. He was sentenced to at least 12 years in prison.
Blair attempted to write his female victim a jailhouse style letter and he succeeded several times, sending the letters to family members with instructions to forward it to the teen victim.
Eventually, prison officials were able to intercept the letters before they even made it out of the prison.
But by then, Blair had already sent the girl several letters, even though the sentencing judge gave him specific instructions not to contact the victim.
Now he will have to serve an extra two years in prison.
Blair’s infractions are considered a Class B offense, which includes communicating directly, indirectly, via a third party, or in any manner with victims, or family members of the victims.
“I was amazed that he was stupid enough to do it,” said Gaston County District Attorney Locke Bell
The victim’s mother stated the following about the concerning the letters:
“It makes me want to kill him. Whatever with jail. Jail doesn’t mean anything. The man is still doing it. Apparently he’s getting by with everything. I called the prison several times and said there’s letters getting out. Every time I try to push this back out of my mind, he just continuously does this. This child is (now) 15 years old. This has made her sick.”
But even while Blair was in jail awaiting trial, he attempted to contact the victim via

Texas Cop Faces Death Penalty for Hiring Hit Man to Kill Mistress who Wouldn’t Abort Baby

Thursday, November 2nd, 2017

Texas prosecutors announced last week that an Austin police officer will face the death penalty for hiring a hit man to kill his mistress after she refused to abort their baby.
Prior to her death, 29-year-old Samantha Dean told colleagues and wrote in her diary that if she were found dead, Austin cop VonTrey Clark would likely be the killer.
That information was not made available to the public until July 13, 2015, more than five months after Dean was murdered, when a search warrant was unsealed, which included mounting evidence pointing to Clark as a primary suspect involved in Dean’s death.
Dean, a crime victims counselor for the Kyle Police Department, was found murdered on February 4, 2015 behind a vacant office building a few miles west of Bastrop, Texas.
Samantha Dean, a former victims’ services coordinator for the Kyle police was found murdered outside of Bastrop behind a vacant officer building near a dumpster on February 4, 2015.
An autopsy revealed Dean had been shot three times in the head by alleged hit man Kevin Watson and was approximately seven months pregnant at the time of her death.
Clark continued working as an Austin police officer for five months until he was finally fired by former Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo. But only after he had fled the United States on July 17, 2015, to Jakarta, Indonesia, a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the United States.
Clark’s attorney later claimed his client traveled overseas for medical treatment, although he didn’t specify a medical condition for which Clark was receiving treatment.
Former Austin cop, Vontrey Clark
Clark was eventually apprehended in Indonesia as a “result of a highly secretive operation between federal authorities stretching from Texas all the way to Washington D.C. and the Indonesian government.”
In one of Dean’s journal entries, she described a sexual

South Carolina Female Sheriff’s Deputy Has Sex with 5 Male Deputies on Duty

Thursday, August 10th, 2017

The last thing the public would expect is for cops to have sex with each other on the job in uniform (well actually out of uniform because clothes are off), but that is exactly what five South Carolina sheriff’s deputies did with a female sheriff’s deputy on duty.
From sargents to lieutenants to captains, five sheriff’s deputies from the York County Sheriff’s Department were disciplined for having sex on the job with the same female deputy.  Sgt. Jennifer Forsythe for whatever reason had consensual sexual relationships on duty with several of her co-workers over a period of 14 years.
Sgt. Forsythe was even an employee of the month at one time. Now she is fired along with her on the job lover Deputy Daniel Hamrick. They both admitted to the relationship.
The Charlotte Observer reports that an anonymous complaint in late July 2017 started the investigation. The York County Sheriff’s Department launched an internal affairs investigation into the matter and discovered that Sgt. Forsythe had sexual encounters on duty on the property of the sheriff’s department. Once Sheriff Kevin Tolson was briefed on the police sexual escapades he took swift action in firing Sgt. Forsythe and Deputy Hamrick because they actually had their sex on the job from 2012 to as recent as 2017.
Sgt. Wayne Richardson, Sgt. Buddy Brown and Capt. Carson Neely were suspended for two weeks without pay because their on duty sex with Sgt. Forsythe happened years ago. Lieutenant Brian Boling was demoted and suspended for his on the job sex with Sgt. Forsythe.

Sheriff Tolson said
“The results of this investigation are very troubling and cast a dark cloud over the York County Sheriff’s Office and its reputation as a professional organization. The actions of these officers have undermined the public’s confidence in our organization and required swift and serious action. Make no

Texas Cop Just Indicted On First Degree Murder For Killing Unarmed Teen With AR-15

Monday, July 17th, 2017

An unarmed Texas teenager was shot and killed, which led a Dallas County grand jury to return a first-degree murder indictment against the police officer who killed him.
Balch Springs cop Roy Oliver shot and killed Jordan Edwards with an AR-15 rifle.
Now he’s facing 99 years in prison.
Oliver was already charged with two counts of aggravated assault, but Dallas County DA Faith Johnson’s office just announced new charges this afternoon, while the officer is still out on a $700,000 bond.
“It’s very important to let our community know that justice is proceeding effectively… at the Dallas County DA’s Office,” said Dallas County DA Faith Johnson in a press release embedded below, “This is the very first time we have issued an arrest warrant for a police officer before the case was presented to a grand jury.”
Initially, Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathan Haber defended the officer by falsely advising the public that Edwards was menacing the cop, then fired Oliver two days later only after viewing the dash cam footage proving that the officer had fired at the vehicle as it sped away.
Then Oliver’s parents blamed PTSD for the officer’s murderous use of an official firearm.
Jordan Edwards was an above average student, whose only crime was attending a house party when Officer Oliver was called to the scene.
There’s no real answer why Edwards fired at the teenagers because he was responding to a call about drunk people on foot.
No arrests were made by Officer Oliver.
In fact, Edwards’ car was never even stopped by the Balch Springs cop.
Jordan Edwards was riding in the front passenger seat of his 16-year old brother’s car when they discovered he’d been hit in the head by a bullet and was already dead when they arrived at a hospital.
The boys were all part of the same football team and decided to leave the party when Oliver

Sunday, May 14, 2017, Ricardo Levins Morales captures a Minneapolis Metro Transit Officer on video, asking a man under suspicion of not paying his fare for the train, about his immigration status. Mr Morales then interjects and asks, “if they are authorized to act as immigration police?” the officer simply shrugs his shoulders, as if he did not know if he is or if he is not. The Officer then responds “No, Not Necessarily” Then Morales continues and tells the Officer that “it is very touchy, legal territory” the Officer responds as if he did not hear Morales, so he repeats himself, “ I would stay out of that, it is touchy legal territory” and “ I would not act in behalf of another agency, if , I were not legally empowered to do so “ the Officer’s response “Okay”.

Metro Transit’s Police Chief John Harrington release a statement…….

Without this video, this individual would still be employed and able to continue acting outside his scope of authority, creating issues in the community and liabilities for his employer. Chief Harrington should be commended on his swift decision to terminate this person.

Two Georgia Cops Criminally Charged for Punching, Stomping Head of Unarmed Man

Wednesday, April 26th, 2017

The two Georgia cops who were fired this month after they were caught on camera punching and stomping a non-resisting man have been criminally charged.
Turns out, one of the cops had punched the man because the man had been trying to record the interaction, according to the victim’s attorney.
But unknowing to Gwinnett County Police Sergeant Mike Bongiovanni, he was being recorded by another citizen witnessing the altercation from their car.
Another witness then recorded Gwinnett County police officer Robert McDonald, who came running up and stomped on the head of Demetrius Hollins after he had been handcuffed and was laying facedown on the ground.
The 21-year-old man had been pulled over for not using a turn signal.
The incident took place on April 12 and both cops were fired the following day.
Earlier today, they were each charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of violation of oath, which is a felony, according to WSB-TV.
The former cops have until Thursday evening to turn themselves in where they will likely bond out within minutes as cops tend to do on those rare occasions they get criminally charged.
The decision to charge the cops was made by Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter, who said he was shocked by the two videos recorded by witnesses.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a situation where both officers appeared to act without justification,” Porter told WSB-TV.
Bongiovanni, who was on the force for nearly two decades, was accused of using excessive force 67 times, according to his personnel file.
But he was cleared in every single one of them.
Apparently, none of those previous incidents were captured on video.
An attorney for Bongiovanni said his client never threw a punch, but only elbowed the man, which he says is more acceptable.
“He (Bongiovannit) says, ‘I don’t recall throwing a punch.’ Because he didn’t

WATCH: Surveillance Video of Florida Cop Shooting Retired Librarian during “Shoot/Don’t Shoot” Training Exercise Released

Thursday, April 20th, 2017

The surveillance video showing Punta Gorda police officer Lee Coel shooting and killing a retired librarian during a “shoot/don’t shoot” citizen’s academy training exercise last year was obtained by a local television news station, showing the cop dressed in a hoodie and playing the role of a thug before pulling the trigger.
But it was obvious Coel was a thug long before he shot and killed Mary Knowlton, a 73-year-old retired librarian who joined the academy to show her support for police at a time when cops were receiving negative press for killing unarmed citizens.
However, these signs were ignored by Punta Gorda Police Chief Tom Lewis despite receiving strong warnings from a local attorney after Coel was recorded on dash cam video allowing his police dog to maul a man for riding a bicycle with no lights.
“Two months ago, I was yelling like Chicken Little that the sky was falling but nobody did anything about it,” said attorney Scott Weinberg last year after the Knowlton shooting, who represented the man on the bicycle.
“Nobody in government had the stones to do what was right. If they had fired him back then, this woman would still be alive.”
Now both Coel and Lewis have been criminally charged for their negligence during the August 9, 2016 shooting.
However, Coel, who was supposed to be shooting blanks during the training exercise, ended up using real bullets for reasons that are not clear other than the fact he was the last person who should have been leading a gun safety training exercise.
According to WINK, which obtained the video:
Newly released surveillance footage shows the moment former Punta Gorda Police Officer Lee Coel shot and killed 73-year-old retired librarian Mary Knowlton in August during a “shoot-don’t shoot” training exercise at a citizens police academy.
Knowlton is seen striding to the front of

Ohio Cop Sexually Assaults Women with Sex Toy during Traffic Stop

Wednesday, April 19th, 2017

East Cleveland police officer Kenneth Bolton Jr. had no reason to pull the women over because they had already been cited by another officer 30 minutes earlier.
But he probably heard they were attractive, both of them in their early 20s. And he may have even heard they had a sex toy in the back seat.
Cops tend to get off on these things, so word spreads fast.
The 16-year police veteran then used the sex toy to grope both women between their legs during the February 23 traffic stop.
Now he is not only out of a job, but is facing ten years in prison.
Bolton, who is either 39 or 49 depending on which news source you believe, admitted to the infractions, something cops rarely do.
According to Cleveland.com:
A grand jury has filed charges against an East Cleveland police officer fired last month after he admitted to violating “numerous misdemeanor and felony laws” during a February traffic stop, records say.
Kenneth Bolton Jr., 39, is charged with two counts each of gross sexual imposition, abduction and interfering with civil rights charges tied to the Feb. 23 traffic stop, according to court records.
Bolton is accused of groping two women between their legs under threat of force during the stop, according to a copy of the indictment.
Bolton is set for an April 27 arraignment in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
Bolton, a 16-year veteran of the force, was fired March 3 after an internal investigation.
A letter of termination from East Cleveland Police Chief Michael Cardilli to Bolton says Bolton made a statement to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office “admitting to numerous misdemeanor and felony laws that you have recently violated.”
East Cleveland, a suburb of Cleveland in Cuyahoga County, has a population of less than 20,000 people, so its police department is not very large, especially considering it is

Two Georgia Cops Fired – Including an “Officer of the Month” – After Videos Surface Showing them Beating, Stomping Man

Thursday, April 13th, 2017

Two Georgia cops were fired Thursday after videos surfaced showing them punching and stomping on the head of an unarmed non-resisting man.
But they should also be criminally charged, so let’s see how that pans out.
From the looks of it, it is something the two Gwinnett County police officers have been doing on a regular basis.
This time, it just happened to be caught on camera by a pair of witness, which is why the cops are also under criminal investigation.
“Based on what I know right now, I would anticipate there are going to be charges,” Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“But I don’t know what they are yet.”
The first video, recorded by a motorist, shows Gwinnett County Police Sergeant Michael Bongiovanni punching a 21-year-old man in the face who had his hands in the air during a traffic stop.
Demetrius Hollins
The second video shows, recorded by a second motorist, shows Gwinnett County police officer Robert McDonald running up to the scene after Hollin had been handcuffed and tasered, and stomping on the back of his head as he was laying facedown on the street.
Demetrius Hollins was charged with less than an ounce of marijuana, obstruction of a police officer and several traffic citations, including driving with a suspended license, failure to signal and not having proper brake lights nor a license plate.
None of the violations amount to the crimes committed by the cops on video.
Bongiovanni claimed he pulled Hollins over after noticing he did not have a license plate and was changing lanes without signaling, which is something only cops are allowed to do.
They say he did not immediately pull over, but came to a stop after his car stalled out.
Bongiovanni, who’s been on the force for two decades, claimed in his report he smelled marijuana and

WATCH: Minneapolis Cop Charged for Kicking Man in Face and Lying About It

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017

These days it is not uncommon for cops to get arrested for assault.
But Officer Christopher Reiter, 36, of the Minneapolis Police Department took things way too far when he kicked Mohamed Osman while he was already down on the ground.
Osman suffered severe brain injuries, brain bleeding and ended up with fractures in his face, including sinus fractures in his nose.
Because of the injuries, Osman is unable to work.
The on-duty assault occurred in Spring 2016, but Reiter was not arrested until March 15, 2017 after he and fellow officers lied about what had taken place that night – only for a surveillance video to expose their lies.
According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:
In reports they filed after the incident, Domek wrote that as he approached Osman, he ordered him to get on the ground. Domek then wrote that he moved toward Osman “in an effort to push him to the ground to get him in handcuff position. While doing so, I felt resistance from the male, causing me to believe that he was going to attempt to fight as he had just been involved in a violent assault.”
In his report, Reiter said when the other officers ordered Osman out of the vehicle, “I could see [Osman] pushing off the ground.
“I made a split second decision and kicked [Osman] in the face one time with the top flat part of my boot.”
Reiter is charged with third-degree assault, but prosecutors plan to raise the charge to first-degree assault. The Minneapolis Police Department fired Reiter in Janurary 2017.
It all started in May 2016 when officers responded to a domestic violence call involving Osman and his girlfriend. The two were having dinner and an argument ensued about Osman’s wife.
Osman then hit his girlfriend several times and she called police. When police arrived to the couple’s apartment, they

Florida Deputy Moonlighted as Prostitute Before Attempting to Kill Elderly Woman

Wednesday, February 8th, 2017

The Florida deputy arrested for attempting to kill an elderly woman after she reported him for theft was also a male prostitute on his off-time, according to internal affairs investigators.
Sarasota County deputy Frankie Bybee, received more than $100,000 over the years from a woman named Elinor Jarvis in exchange for pleasing her sexually.
The 46-year-old deputy would also “record himself in a sex act in his patrol vehicle while on duty and send the video to her via an app called ‘Tango’ and then she would transfer $500 into his PayPal account,” according to ABC Action News.
Jarvis contacted investigators after learning he had been arrested for attempting to kill a 79-year-old woman by entering her home, mounting her and shoving prescription pills down her throat before leaving her car running in her garage with the door open in the hope she would die of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Bybee was trying to make it look like a suicide.
But Marcia Sohl survived the encounter, leading to his arrest and his termination from the sheriff’s office, where he had worked for 18 years, including several times where he had been suspended for disciplinary issues.
Now he is sitting in jail on several felony charges, including attempted murder, forgery, grand theft, burglary of an occupied dwelling and battery on a person 65+ years of age.
Bybee met Sohl in October when she called the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office for help, transporting her to the hospital and praying with her to gain her trust and confidence.
He also agreed to care for her Yorkshire in exchange for $1,000, even texting her a photo of himself with the dog to show that it was safe.
But then he sold the dog on Craig’s List.
He then spent the next few weeks visiting her at her home while on on-duty and off-duty, introducing her to his

Wisconsin Deputy Slams 15 Shots of Vodka, Steals Man’s Sweatshirt, Passes Out in Patrol Car, Blames Bartender

Friday, January 20th, 2017

How many shots does it take for a cop to pass out in their patrol vehicle while in uniform and on-duty as a police dog helplessly sits in the backseat?
It took 15 shots of vodka for a Wisconsin deputy to do just that.
St. Croix County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Fowler ended up having a .23 blood alcohol content – nearly three times the legal limit.
In fact, Fowler still had the squad car in drive with his foot on the brake when responding officers found him passed out from his drunken stupor.
But he later blamed the bartender at the Comfort Inn for getting him drunk.
The incident took place in October 2016 but reports of the incident were only released until recently.
Deputy Fowler was in North Dakota as extra security reinforcement for the pipeline standoff. He was one of five deputies that were called from the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin.
A few hours before Deputy Fowler was suppose to report to duty, he downed at least 15 premium Vodka shots at the Comfort Inn hotel where he and his colleagues were staying.
Additionally, Fowler had taken some sort of prescription medication.
Twincities reports that on October 12 around 11:30 p.m., after downing the shots, Fowler walked to his patrol car with his k-9 dog in an attempt to drive to the pipeline.
But he was too drunk to make it out of the parking lot.
He then became cold and offered to pay $5 for a random man’s sweatshirt. The man identified as Daylan Chasinghawk gave Fowler the sweatshirt but Fowler never coughed up the money.
That was when Chasinghawk called police to report that a deputy stole his sweatshirt.
Once police arrived at the hotel, they found Fowler in his patrol car drunk with the transmission in drive, his foot on the brake, and the doors locked. Officers had to

Nine Texas Cops Fired for Claiming to Make Traffic Stops They Never Made

Sunday, December 11th, 2016

Nine Texas cops were fired after a routine audit earlier this year exposed they lied about the number of traffic stops they made in order to boost the results of their performance on their department’s annual racial-profiling report.
The Arlington Police Department made the announcement late Friday, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
An attorney for two of the fired cops say they were merely trying to meet the department’s quota for writing tickets, which would be illegal under state law.
Discrepancies in their reports came to the attention of department officials after they attempted to view dash cam footage of the stops, which they later found did not exist.
That’s because they never happened.
In May, fifteen officers were placed on paid leave as the department conducted an internal affairs investigation into the revelation; an additional officer joined the accused shortly after.
The internal affairs investigation started in May this year after Arlington police officials detected suspicious reporting of traffic stops as they conducted routine supervisory audits of its patrol divisions’ traffic stops.
It concluded the officers – all who were assigned to the patrol division – reported they had made traffic stops that were actually never conducted.
Officers made the false reports on their in-car computers entering traffic stops at a particular address that never took place.
Supervisors were tipped off after the same vehicle was used for several stops.
The terminated officers were found guilty by department officials of  conduct unbecoming of a police officer for tampering with government records and lying about traffic stop reports, although they have the right to appeal the decision.
A Tarrant County District Attorney will decide if future criminal charges will be filed against the nine fired officers.
Two of the fired cops are accused of lying to internal affairs investigators about tampering with the traffic stop reports.
Three officers resigned before results of the investigation

WATCH: Georgia Cop Fired for Challenging Teen to Fight for Yelling “Fuck the Police” from Car

Tuesday, December 6th, 2016

A Georgia cop was fired last week for harassing and intimidating a 17-year-old who hollered “fuck the police” at him from a moving car in an incident captured on both body and dash cameras.
This isn’t the first time Social Circle police officer James Eugene Sander has been disciplined
In 2014, he received an oral reprimand for threatening to blow up a high school as well as send anthrax to school staff after they expressed dissatisfaction with the level of security he provided at a football game,” according to the Walton Tribune.
On Thursday, after receiving an anonymous tip about the cop pulling over a vehicle and “cussing at all the occupants” inside, then viewing video footage from the November 23 incident, Social Circle Police Chief Tyrone Oliver decided he’d seen enough of Sander’s antics and pulled the trigger to fire him.
After receiving the tip, Chief Oliver requested Sgt. Samantha Rose get a statement from Sanders about the stop, but footage from Sanders’ body cam indicated several discrepancies in his version of events.
Video from the stop shows Sanders pulling over the jeep then proceeding to ask each of the teens separately who made the comment.
The driver of the vehicle said it was his friend that made the remark.
Sanders then hones in on the kid and walks over to him.
“Get out of the vehicle. What’d you have to say?” asks Sanders.
The boy complies with Sanders’ request.
“Nothing.”
“Tell me one more time or you’re going to jail, son,” says Sanders before asking the boy’s name.
The kid quietly replies, apparently familiar with the Sanders from a previous incident.
“Brandon Hughes!” Sanders excitedly recalls. “I know who you are!”
“Is there something you need to say to us that you need to yell out the window? Who are you yelling at? Look at me when you’re talking, son. Who are you yelling
