Now, the interim chief ordered his subordinate to be issued a ticket.
But that was more than a month after the incident only after the Austin American-Statesmen obtained dash cam video showing Austin Assistant Chief Chris Mcllvain racing to a basketball game in a city-owned vehicle during off-duty hours.

Thursday, March 23rd, 2017

Texas state troopers forcefully dragged an activist out of the State Capital during a public committee hearing on a bill seeking to restrict abortions after a committee chairman announced orders for her stop live streaming footage of her political representatives in action even though Texas law clearly states it’s a legally protected activity.
State Affairs Committee Chairman Byron Cook directed liberty activist Amy Hedtke to stop recording the meeting over the proposed restrictions, claiming she wasn’t permitted to record because she didn’t have the proper media credentials.

The video, released today and posted below, shows the 21-year-old woman running with a gun in her hand.
But it does not show her shooting at the officers as police initially claimed. In fact, they later claimed she did not

San Diego cops unveiled their new marijuana test machine over the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, which they plan to use to target legal weed users, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
“It’s a huge concern of ours with the legalization of marijuana that we’re going to see an increase in impaired drugged driving,” San Diego Police Chief Shelly Zimmerman said during a press conference after voters in California passed the Adult Use of Marijuana Act into law in November, which legalizes cultivation and use of marijuana for recreational purposes.

Thursday, March 23rd, 2017
Concerned about the expenses involved in the New Hampshire Justice Department’s ongoing court battle to prevent voters from taking selfies in the voting booth, local activist and journalist Dave Ridley showed up to their budget workshop meeting, camera in hand, to ask members of the House Finance Committee how they felt about the mounting expenses in fighting the suit.
But committee members waisted little time in telling Ridley that he would not be allowed to video record the meeting.

WATCH: Minneapolis Cop Charged for Kicking Man in Face and Lying About It

Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017

These days it is not uncommon for cops to get arrested for assault.
But Officer Christopher Reiter, 36, of the Minneapolis Police Department took things way too far when he kicked Mohamed Osman while he was already down on the ground.
Osman suffered severe brain injuries, brain bleeding and ended up with fractures in his face, including sinus fractures in his nose.
Because of the injuries, Osman is unable to work.
The on-duty assault occurred in Spring 2016, but Reiter was not arrested until March 15, 2017 after he and fellow officers lied about what had taken place that night – only for

The Missouri City police station, southwest of Houston, is in plain view of the public right of way.
And if you can see it from public, you can photograph it as well.
