Connecticut Female Cop Arrested for Punching Man in Face, Busting Lip

Saturday, April 28th, 2018

The Office of the Chief State’s Attorney confirmed that a New London, Connecticut police officer was arrested on Monday for punching a man in the face giving him lacerations on his lip.
NBC Connecticut reports that Officer Deana Nottand, 50, was charged with third-degree assault in the June 2016 incident. Now, over a year and a half later Nottand is finally being formally charged for her actions. Nottand has been with the New London Police Department for 17 years.
In June 2016 a man was being placed under arrest for an assault charge that incurred during a bar fight. Once in handcuffs and in the back of a police cruiser, the man was punched in the mouth by Officer Nottand.
And as a result, the 37-year-old man sustained a laceration to his lower lip.
In December 2017 Nottand was suspended for the excessive force incident.
But on Monday Nottand was officially arrested for the encounter by inspectors from the Statewide Prosecution Bureau in the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney, on a warrant charging her with third-degree assault. Her court date is scheduled for February 1.

Watch: Kansas Police Captain Arrested for Hitting Teenage Referee During Basketball Game

Wednesday, January 24th, 2018

It is all fun and games until someone gets hurt. A police captain in Wichita, Kansas got angered at a female teenage referee and ran on the game court deciding to take matters into his own hands.
And it was all caught on video, as seen here.
Now the Wichita police captain has been arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
KWCH 12 reports that the incident occurred on January 13 at a youth league basketball game in which Captain Kevin Mears shoved a 17-year-old girl refereeing the game.
Mears didn’t agree with a call and ran on to the court to grab his son off the court, but the teenage referee blew the whistle to alert Mears to leave the court. Angered at the teen referee for doing her job, Mears decided to push the young girl.
The teenage ref then ordered Mears off the court yelling, “Get out, get out!” Mears yells back shouting, “Get out of my way.”
It appears Mears can dish out orders, but can’t take them.
In a statement, Augusta City Prosecutor Benjamin Winters said:
“The case was investigated by the Augusta Department of Public Safety. The investigation included numerous witness statements as well as video evidence. I would stress that at this point these charges are merely allegations, and Mr. Mears is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty”
The Wichita police Department released this statement:
“In accordance with a new directive Mears remains on unpaid leave pending the outcome of criminal proceedings and an internal review. According to policy we will review the incident to determine if department policies were violated, after the completion of the criminal proceedings.”
Mears is the head of the Wichita Police Department’s East Patrol bureau. Mears is now on unpaid leave.  He faces a first court appearance on both charges at 1 p.m. Feb. 13.

NORTH CAROLINA FEMALE COP KILLS HUSBAND, HUSBAND WAS COP TOO

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018

It is not often that a cop kills a cop, especially when they are married to each other.
But a North Carolina sheriff’s deputy killed her husband in a domestic dispute on the Martin Luther King holiday. The police department revealed today that no charges have been filed yet and the case is still under investigation.
Deputy Sheriff Rataba Hawkins shot and killed her husband, Deputy Sheriff James Hawkins.
Rataba Hawkins has been with the Mecklenburg Sheriff’s Office since 2002 and is assigned to field operations. James Hawkins was with the office since 2005 and was assigned to arrest processing.
The shooting took place at the couples home on Ashley Meadow Drive in Charlotte, NC. on January 15, 2018.
Officers responded to a domestic violence assault with a deadly weapon 911 call. Officers then located Deputy James Hawkins inside the house with an apparent gunshot wound. Deputy James Hawkins was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.
Rataba shot her husband with her sheriffs department issued gun. Apparently the too were fighting with each other and Rataba felt threatened for her life and fired fatal shots at her husband.
Spokeswoman for the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Department Anjanette Grube released this statement:
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is saddened to learn of the news concerning an open homicide investigation involving two MCSO deputies. Our hearts go out to their family as they cope and grieve with this tragedy. This is a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police investigation so any questions concerning the investigation should be directed to CMPD. Because the MCSO family grieves with the Hawkins family, we will have chaplains available for our staff.
No arrests have been made yet. The Charlotte Police Department is investigating this case as an homicide. PINAC will stay on top of this story.

WATCH: Ohio Cops Taser Two Men for not Sitting Down

Wednesday, December 13th, 2017

Recently released body cam video shows two Ohio cops using their tasers to punish two brothers for not sitting down in their own home, even though neither of them were under arrest for committing a crime.
One of them suffered a collapsed lung, according to Cincinnati.com.
The incident left both men, who had clean records, with criminal convictions.
Cincinnati police officers Richard Sullivan and Lawrence Johnson responded to a call from Angela Brown, who called police to have her sons, Richard Coleman and James Crawley, removed from her apartment.
Their mother never specified why she wanted her sons out of her house, but Coleman says in the video that his mother is drunk.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer:

The men told city investigators they were at their mother’s apartment to help her grocery shop, with one saying Brown previously invited him to live there.

One of the experts said that the videos show the two officers actively escalating the situation instead of calming things down and eventually “using the Tasers as a form of torture to get them to do what they wanted them to do.”

“Anyone with any common sense can see the officers never give the kids a chance … and they immediately turned to a weapon that is one step below using lethal force,” said Gary A. Rini, a longtime police officer and commander from suburban Cleveland who now works as a police consultant and expert witness.

Following the incident, one of the brothers made a complaint to the Citizen Complaint Authority, which was created as part of the 2001 Collaborative Agreement to investigate allegations against police. Fraternal Order of Police President Hils requested that city investigators hold off on interviewing the officers until after the two men were fully prosecuted.

Officers Sullivan and Johnson arrived around 3:30 p.m. on August 8 to find Coleman, 24, sitting on the couch

South Carolina Cop Tasers 86-year-old Man to Keep him Safe, Leaving in a Coma with a Bleeding Brain

Saturday, October 21st, 2017

A South Carolina cop pulled an 86-year-old man over for running a red light this week, but the man suffered from dementia and stepped out of the car and looked as if he was about step into oncoming traffic.
Kingstree police officer Stephen Sweikata said he decided to save his life by tasering him.
The taser struck Albert Hatfield, causing him to fall on the asphalt, striking his head and breaking his nose.
And now he is in a medical induced coma.
And when he awoke after several days in the hospital, he was unable to speak properly, according to the Post and Courier.
Even though the cop claims he tasered the man for his safety, Kingstree police said Hatfield said he took a “fighting stance,” which is the routine allegation when police try to justify an unsuitable incident.
Odds are, the police report will also say he “clenched his body” while acting “belligerent” because these are the common phrases police use to justify the unsuitable.
After all, the initial excuse where Hatfield was tasered while trying to walk into traffic was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge in South Carolina.
According to the Post and Courier:
University of South Carolina law professor Seth Stoughton, a former officer, said Kingstree’s explanation of the encounter draws a conclusion about why force was used without giving necessary details to support it. Stoughton called the case “problematic.”

“The court has been very clear that officers can use Tasers to defend themselves or defend someone else who is being attacked,” he said. “I have yet to see an officer who would legitimately fear your average unarmed 86-year-old.”

Scrutiny of police use of force, particularly against black people, has spread nationwide in recent years. Much attention has focused on shootings, including the 2015 killing of Walter Scott by a North Charleston officer.

Taser use also has garnered criticism.

Oklahoma Cops Shoot and Kill Mentally Challenged, Deaf Man who Couldn’t Hear Commands

Thursday, September 21st, 2017

Oklahoma cops fatally shot a developmentally disabled and deaf man who was 15 ft. away from them after he failed to comply with officers’ commands Tuesday night.
Magdiel Sanchez, 35, was Tasered before he was shot dead by Oklahoma City cops. Lt. Matthew Lindsey and Sgt. Christopher Barnes after they claim he moved towards them with a metal pipe.
Neighbors said Sanchez commonly carried a pipe due to stray dogs in the area.
Neighbors say Magdiel Sanchez, 35, who was deaf and mentally challenged commonly carried a stick or pipe due to stray dogs in the area.
Sanchez’s neighbors frantically screamed at the officers during the shooting, telling them he was deaf and unable to hear their orders.
“We were screaming that he can’t hear,” Julio Rayos told The Oklahoman.
Captain Bo Matthews admitted at news conference Tuesday night that witnesses were yelling, “he can’t hear you” before the officers fired at Sanchez, but said the officers had tunnel vision after perceiving the metal pipe as a threat to their safety, causing them to fear for their lives.
“In those situations, very volatile situations, you have a weapon out, you can get what they call tunnel vision, or you can really lock in to just the person that has the weapon that’d be the threat against you,” Mathews added.
“I don’t know exactly what the officers were thinking at that point.”
Oklahoma City Police Captain said at a press conference that Sanchez was holding a metal pipe and approaching officers when he was shot by two officers Tuesday night.
According to Matthews, who also acts as Oklahoma City Police’s public information officer, Lindsay and Barnes were investigating a reported hit-and-run incident at around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
A witness told Lt. Lindsey the address where the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run had gone. Sanchez was on the porch when Lindsey arrive on

Mississippi Prosecutors Defend Cops Who Killed Innocent Man In Wrong House Raid

Wednesday, July 26th, 2017

Mississippi cops killed a totally innocent person while serving a warrant on the wrong house, but the DeSoto County District Attorney John Champion is already lobbying public opinion in favor of the police officers who made a fatal mistake.
He’s saying that officers shot at a dog and killed Ismael Lopez.
Lopez and his wife Claudia Linares were sleeping peacefully at home when the officers arrived.
Ismael Lopez went to answer the door and shortly thereafter fell to the bullets fired by an officer from the Southaven Police Department at the age of 41, right at the front door of his mobile home.
Police bullets pierced his front door.
He died.
The Lopez family retained lawyer Murray Wells who firmly says that the police shot an unarmed man, and that the cops have a strong incentive to lie in order to avoid prosecution.
DeSoto County District Attorney John Champion wouldn’t even admit that officers went to the wrong house, but he did claim that Ismael Lopez was armed, according to The Commercial Appeal:
The statement that the officers went to the wrong address echoed a similar comment the day before from a local prosecutor, John Champion, who said the officers may very well have been at the wrong house. Champion said Monday that two officers were at the scene and that a pit bull dog burst out of the house, prompting one of the officers to shoot at it.
Then a man pointed a gun at officers through an open door, Champion said. The officers repeatedly warned him to put the gun down before one of them opened fire. The attorney representing the family said Lopez, a gun owner, did not have a gun in his hand when he was shot, and that the law firm would do its own investigation to learn what happened.
Now that DA Champion is finished defending the officers, it will be his

Texas Cop Just Indicted On First Degree Murder For Killing Unarmed Teen With AR-15

Monday, July 17th, 2017

An unarmed Texas teenager was shot and killed, which led a Dallas County grand jury to return a first-degree murder indictment against the police officer who killed him.
Balch Springs cop Roy Oliver shot and killed Jordan Edwards with an AR-15 rifle.
Now he’s facing 99 years in prison.
Oliver was already charged with two counts of aggravated assault, but Dallas County DA Faith Johnson’s office just announced new charges this afternoon, while the officer is still out on a $700,000 bond.
“It’s very important to let our community know that justice is proceeding effectively… at the Dallas County DA’s Office,” said Dallas County DA Faith Johnson in a press release embedded below, “This is the very first time we have issued an arrest warrant for a police officer before the case was presented to a grand jury.”
Initially, Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathan Haber defended the officer by falsely advising the public that Edwards was menacing the cop, then fired Oliver two days later only after viewing the dash cam footage proving that the officer had fired at the vehicle as it sped away.
Then Oliver’s parents blamed PTSD for the officer’s murderous use of an official firearm.
Jordan Edwards was an above average student, whose only crime was attending a house party when Officer Oliver was called to the scene.
There’s no real answer why Edwards fired at the teenagers because he was responding to a call about drunk people on foot.
No arrests were made by Officer Oliver.
In fact, Edwards’ car was never even stopped by the Balch Springs cop.
Jordan Edwards was riding in the front passenger seat of his 16-year old brother’s car when they discovered he’d been hit in the head by a bullet and was already dead when they arrived at a hospital.
The boys were all part of the same football team and decided to leave the party when Oliver

The video starts with an exchange and Haning holding the arms of Nelson’s child as he walks towards an Arlington Police Car. The conversation seems civil with the exception that Haning is now accusing Nelson of interfering with his investigation, after simply asking where they were taking her son.
The video then takes a complete 180 when Haning throwing another of Nelson’s son to the ground by his head, no simply again asking questions.
Nelson begins another video with an unidentified female Arlington Police Officer demanding her phone and the videos files it holds documenting the entire incident.

The entire incident was documented on Body Worn Camera Video, from two different angles. Texas Police Dog Sent to Attack Man Without Warning, Sheriff Claimed it Was a Case of Mistaken Identity

Friday, May 26th, 2017

Imagine you are working under a trailer home, repairing an air conditioner unit and without any warning a vicious and deadly animal attacks you, trying to rip you apart. Well Tim Young of Tomball, Texas does not have to imagine it, he lived this nightmare first hand. While working repairing a customer’s air conditioner unit a Harris County Sheriff’s Office Police Dog, was sent under the residence he was working without any warning and attacked him. Leaving him severely injured, bloodied and treated as if he is a suspect of a crime, when he was simply doing his job. Harris County Sheriff has found no fault with his Deputy, for his action and lack of regard for the safety of the innocent citizens, who suffer severe bodily injury by the negligent acts of one of his employees.
Gonzales is quoted by ABC 13, “I apologize,” Gonzalez said. “It’s always traumatic for anyone to be bit, especially if it’s not the target we’re searching for.” And “I have to, at this point, believe the deputy did in their training what they thought was appropriate,” Gonzales later claims “One of the deputies heard the handler give the commands,” .
While witnesses to the entire event tell a completely different version of events, to no surprise, one witness Don Lorenz told ,ABC 13, “Nobody told us who they were,” Lorenz said. “We did not hear one word of warning.”

Maryland Cop Convicted for Ramming Fleeing Man with Patrol Car

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017

A Maryland cop who rammed a fleeing suspect with his patrol car was found guilty by a jury last Wednesday and now faces up to 10 years in prison, according to WTOP.
The incident was caught on the officer’s own dash cam.
Prince George’s County police officer Juan Hernandez was convicted of one count of second-degree assault for ramming 22-year-old Ulrich Boaoutou with his police cruiser as Boaotou fled on foot.
Hernandez, 42, was one of two officers who responded to a call about a fight between two potentially armed suspects on June 13, 2016.
A caller reported to police three men were arguing when the two other men threatened to shoot him. While one officer was patting down Boaoutou, checking him for weapons, he took off running into an open field.
As the officer chased on foot, Hernandez pulled up to the scene and saw Boaotou running and began pursuing him before rammed him with his patrol car.
Thankfully, Boaotou wasn’t injured and refused medical attention.
Hernandez’s supervisor reported the incident and he was suspended the next day.
The Prince George’s County Police Department conducted an internal affairs investigation into the incident and forwarded it to the Prince George’s County Attorney’s Office to review for possible criminal charges.
In December, a grand jury issued an indictment against Hernandez.
County Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said in a statement Hernandez’s actions “were unwarranted given the circumstances of the incident.”
“While it’s never a good day when we have to prosecute one of our own, it’s important that those we serve understand that we will hold people accountable when their actions go above and beyond what is necessary,” Alsobrooks said.
Hernandez, an 11-year-veteran of the Prince George’s County Police Department, faces up to 10 years in prison, will undergo an internal administrative review and could receive a dismissal from the department.
He’s scheduled for sentencing on July 28.

North Carolina Cop Smashes Mother To Pavement In Front Of Her Own Kids (VIDEO)

Saturday, May 6th, 2017

A North Carolina cop demanding an African-American motorist’s car keys unlawfully during a traffic stop was caught on camera by a good samaritan manhandling the mother of small children this week, in a video gone viral which you can see below.
Winston-Salem police officer James Carter waited until he thought the woman recording the incident was going to leave and then slammed Tekara Williams to the pavement over an expired license plate.
Her kids saw it all.
Officer Carter had pulled over Williams for driving 51 mph in a 35 mph zone, and when the video begins, the tall Caucasian officer has the shorter woman’s wrists in his hands and pinned her inside the driver’s side door frame while she loudly protested.
“In an interview with a Winston-Salem Journal reporter Thursday, Williams said she told Carter she wanted to call her grandfather because he owns the car, adding that she had turned off the ignition and put the keys on the passenger seat.”
She also said she didn’t know that the insurance coverage on the car had lapsed and that the car displayed an expired registration plate.
Police said that the plate’s expiration gave them the right to seize the vehicle’s license plate
As the good samaritan arrived and began recording, Tekara Williams was demanding to know why the police officer wanted to arrest her in front of her children.
“There is no reason for you to do this sir, you pulled me over for a speeding ticket. What are you doing?!? No sir, I want someone here now. Thank you ma’am.” Williams said to the woman recording her arrest.”
“My name is Tekera Williams,” she continued, while holding her phone in her other hand, “I have no idea what he is stopping me. Help me. This is Winston-Salem Police Department and his name is…”
“Let me have your hands,” demanded Officer Carter.
“is.. Officer Carter.” Said

WATCH: North Carolina Cop Places Gun to Unarmed Man’s Head, Threatening to Kill Him

Tuesday, April 25th, 2017

“Is your shit on? Cut it off,” said a North Carolina cop after he and several other cops roughed up a man.
Body cam footage released this week shows Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers punching and elbowing James Yarborough during an arrest while Yarborough was on the ground.
One of the officers then puts a gun to Yarborough’s head and says, “I will kill you.”
Thankfully, that officer did not make good on his promise, but he later noted in his report that he feared for his life because Yarborough was reaching for his waist.
Although the incident occurred in March 2016, the internal affairs department just cleared the case finding that all officers involved acted appropriately.
According to WBTV, police made a traffic stop on a truck Yarborough was the passenger in because the truck was involved in several larcenies. Yarborough casually exited the truck and then took off from police on foot.
The driver of the truck had a pistol laying in the truck, Yarborough being a convicted felon didn’t want to be hit with gun charges, so that is why he ran, he told WBTV News.
After a brief foot chase, an officer tackles Yarborough and a struggle ensues. That is when Officer Jon Dunham puts a gun to Yarborough’s head and says, “I will kill you, you understand? Give me your hand, now!” Yarborough continued to resist the four officers that were on top of him.
After an officer tasers Yarborough, he appears to be a bit more compliant, but the officers involved begin to hit and elbow him repeatedly until they get him handcuffed.
This is how Dunham described the incident in his report:
“At this point I observed him shove his hand towards his waistband. He was completely uncooperative,  I believed he was reaching for a gun in an attempt to seriously hurt me or Officer Michaels; knowing that suspects are known

Wisconsin SWAT Team Attacks 65-Year-old Man with Parkinson’s Disease After he Called for Help

Wednesday, April 12th, 2017

A 65-year-old Wisconsin man with Parkinson’s Disease dialed 911 for a medical emergency Friday, only for a SWAT team to arrive at his home and slam him to the ground,  hospitalizing him for days.
Thomas Smith’s family is outraged, saying their relative is unable to physically speak, so he had to resort to pushing buttons on the telephone to communicate with the dispatcher.
And somehow, the dispatcher understood he was being held hostage by a man with guns and explosives, which is why Oneida County sheriff’s officials say they were only trying to keep the neighborhood safe.
Plus, they added, he was not following directions, so he had to be “de-centralized,” which apparently is the police version of  “re-accommodated,” the term used by United Airlines to describe how they have passengers yanked from their seats and dragged down the aisle to make room for airline employees.
But Smith’s family is not buying it.
According to News Watch 12:

“When a person cannot communicate, and he’s short of breath, you’re going to press every button on the phone to get help,” said Alan.

The dispatch call ended abruptly. So when Smith exited his home, the Oneida County Special Response team detained him.

The family says Smith was treated roughly.

“He did say he was forced down, he was slammed to the ground,” said Alan.

Hook says Smith was not following directions, so Smith was then “decentralized.”
“We acted on the information that we had,” Hook said. “We couldn’t have acted any other way.”
“We needed to keep the community safe as well as our officers safe, and we just did the best we could with the information that we had,” said Hook.

Smith is currently in the hospital receiving the medical care he needed in addition to the care he needed after he was body slammed.
Captain Hook suggests citizens with medical issues make prior arrangements

WATCH: California Cop Chokes, Beats Man for Jaywalking

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

A California cop choked and beat a man for jaywalking Monday in an incident captured on video that is now going viral.
The video was recorded by a woman named Naomi Montaie, who was sitting in her car as the altercation unfolded in front of her, showing a Sacramento police officer grabbing the young man by the neck while shoving him down on the street.
The Sacramento cop then sits on top of the man while throwing several punches to his face.
The man, Nandi Cain Jr, does not appear to be fighting back or resisting, contrary to what police will probably say once they get their story together.
As of now, they are not saying anything other than they “tried to stop a man for a violation,” according to Fox 40.
But they did tell Montaie that they had stopped him for jaywalking, which apparently is a serious crime in Sacramento or more likely, a revenue generator.
She says officers who questioned her after the incident told her they were trying to stop Cain for jaywalking.
She doesn’t understand how jaywalking could have come to what she witnessed.
“I just want some answers. What happened?” said Cain’s live-in girlfriend Antoinette Stewart.
She says she fell in love with his goofy, spirited personality two years ago and can’t imagine why something like this would happen.
She can imagine him cutting across a street in his long walk home from his co-manager job at a TV store, but as far as her knowledge of him breaking any laws?
“Never been to jail. Never been arrested ever,” Stewart said.
When asked, Sacramento police could only tell FOX40 by phone that an officer tried to stop a man for a violation at Cypress and Grand around 5 p.m.

Tuesday, April 11th, 2017

A Colorado cop was caught on a Snapchat video Thursday slamming a female college student to the ground during an arrest outside of a bar after she allegedly shoulder checked him.
The Thin Blue Line remains supportive of the officer, claiming the 22-year-old Colorado State University student committed felony assault seconds before before he body slammed her.
However, they are refusing to release body cam footage that would prove their allegations.
The 9-second video that surfaced Thursday shows Fort Collins police officer Randall Klamser throwing Michaella Surat to the ground so hard that she suffered bruising to her face and knees.
Klamser then charged Surat with felony assault and obstruction of a police officer.
After reviewing the clip, a spokeswoman for the police department said the move was move a “standard arrest technique.”
It happened during the arrest of Surat’s boyfriend outside of a bar after police say they received a disturbance call, identifying him as one of two male suspects.
Police began questioning her boyfriend, but say they told Surat she was free to leave the scene.
According to their version of events, that’s when she assaulted Klamser.
However, the clip shows Surat stepping away from Klamser when he grabs her, then slams her body to the ground.
Surat lands face first and suffers a concussion.

Fort Collins Police Chief John Hutto
Fort Collins Police Chief John Hutto is standing by his officer  despite video evidence that does not show her posing a threat to Klamser.
“At the conclusion of these investigative processes, the body worn camera video will be made available to the public,” the chief said.
“Additionally, rarely in use-of-force situations is there agreement from all the parties involved as to the appropriateness, efficacy, or necessity of its use.
“These questions are only answered through the analysis of all the evidence after the fact.”

Missouri Sheriff Arrested on 18 Counts After Handcuffing 77-Year-Old Woman Causing Heart Attack

Monday, April 10th, 2017

A Missouri sheriff is back on the job despite being arrested last Wednesday on 18 counts after he handcuffed an elderly woman with so much force she suffered a heart attack.
But almost causing the woman’s death wasn’t enough for Mississippi County Sheriff Cory Hutcheson.
After 77-year-old Bonnie Woods was taken to the hospital, where it was determined she suffered a heart attack, Sheriff Hutcheson filed a sworn affidavit with the county prosecutor seeking kidnapping assault charges against Woods, but multiple witnesses said that never took place.
Now Hutcheson, 34, is facing up to 34 years for the assault and false report as well as several additional charges from an unrelated matter dating back to 2014 when he was a deputy.
Mississippi County Shriff Cory Hutcheson is facing up 34 years in prison.
The recent charges stem from an incident on March 24 when Hutcheson went to pick up a pay check for his sister-in-law, Kasey Hall, at Joyce’s Beauty Shop in Mississippi County.
Woods, who works at the salon, refused to hand over the paycheck to Hutcheson until the sheriff’s sister-in-law returned the property she allegedly stole from the shop, according to the owner.
That was when Hutcheson illegally threatened her with arrest; handcuffing her and yanking her arm, leaving her arm with bruises and broken skin, which caused her to bleed.
After grabbing the check, Hutcheson removed the handcuffs and walked out, depositing the $428 check into his sister-in-law’s account at a bank down the street.
Later that day, after Woods was taken to the hospital with chest pains, Hutcheson filed a false report saying the 77-year-old Woods kidnapped his sister-in-law and assaulted her.
He was arrested on April 5 by the FBI and the Missouri Highway Patrol, spending a short time in jail before he was released on a $75,000 bond, returning to his position as sheriff, which he has
