Join me as I speak with Bill St. Pierre, who witnessed firsthand the devastation in communities hit by this disaster.Bill shares his experience of traveling to the area with an excavator and seeing entire towns submerged—homes destroyed, roads impassable, and essential services overwhelmed. While FEMA and the Red Cross have provided some support, many families have received little to no help, struggling with inadequate aid and crushing expenses. Some survivors are being offered just a fraction of what they need to rebuild—$3,000 for a family that needs at least $200,000, and even those receiving the maximum FEMA check are left with a fraction of the funds required to start the cleanup. As Bill explains, the system is broken, and many are being left to fend for themselves.Bill and other volunteers are donating their time, money, and resources to rebuild homes from the ground up. And you can help, too! We’re raising funds to support these efforts, from clearing debris to building new homes for families who lost everything. If you want to make a real difference in their lives, please consider donating to the GoFundMe that is linked above. Every dollar counts, and together, we can help these families rebuild.
