Outside of the Pacific Palisades, families waited in long lines for hours – desperate to find out if their homes are still standing. Fire crews made some progress on Sunday in containing the Eaton and Palisades fires. But winds are expected to pick up, once again raising the fire danger in the region already devastated by flames. Houses of worship across Los Angeles were destroyed, but worshippers still found ways to meet today: uniting in song, prayer and finding comfort in community.
