A Virginia man is on trial for the alleged murder of his wife and another man he lured from a BDSM website, a crime he allegedly planned with the family’s au pair, who has pleaded guilty to the lesser count of manslaughter. Prosecutors say Brendan Banfield, 40, planned the crime with Juliana Peres Magalhaes, 25, while they were having an affair because Banfield said “divorce was not an option for him.”
