Residents in an Oakland Park neighborhood pushed back against a city project that would remove trees and add sidewalks and swales. Neighbors halted crews mid‑cut using a court injunction obtained by a coalition of 140 homeowners. Deputies were called as residents argued they were kept out of the loop and are furious about the construction plans.
