The Everglades is dying, but the US Army Corps of Engineers and Dirt World contractors are bringing it back! We go behind the scenes of the EAA Reservoir, the crown jewel of the largest environmental restoration project in American history. Located in South Florida, this massive construction effort will act as a giant bathtub — storing water during wet seasons and slowly releasing it to restore the natural flow through the Everglades ecosystem. We talk draglines, long-reach excavators, concrete batch plants, mobile crushing spreads, and on-site quarries, all to build this reservoir the size of a small city. In this video: History of the Everglades drainage system How the EAA Reservoir works The machines and methods behind the build Why the Army Corps of Engineers is leading the charge A HUGE thank you to the US Army Corps of Engineers and Odin for the access to make this video possible!
