One person was shot early Friday while three people attempted to rob them in Miami-Dade, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies responded to the area of Northwest 95th Street and Northwest 5th Avenue at around 1:55 a.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, three unidentified armed subjects arrived in a red SUV and demanded property from the victim.
The subjects, armed with a rifle and handguns, shot the victim as they attempted to flee, striking them in the upper body, authorities said.
The subjects then fled the area in the SUV, MDSO says.
