A deadly Amazon cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport is now under investigation after a Boeing 767-300 freighter overran the runway while landing on September 6, 2026. The aircraft, operated by 21 Air and arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, continued beyond the end of the runway, struck multiple vehicles, and caught fire. At least five people were killed and five others were injured. Now, investigators are beginning to piece together exactly what happened during the landing — including the aircraft’s touchdown point, speed, braking performance, weather conditions, and whether any mechanical issues contributed to the overrun. In this video, retired airline captain and naval aviator Captain Steeeve reacts to the footage from the crash, breaks down what can actually be observed from the landing, and discusses some of the major questions the NTSB will be working to answer as the investigation continues.
