FBI: $50K reward offered for man wanted in $1M Florida jewelry store heist

A $50,000 reward is now being offered for a man with ties to Miami who's accused of taking part in a $1 million heist at a Florida jewelry store earlier this year, authorities said. Alberto Perez-Elias is wanted for his alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 robbery at a Cape Coral jewelry store, FBI officials said Tuesday. Authorities said Perez-Elias and others broke into a vacant business next to the jewelry store then busted through the wall. Once they were inside the jewelry store they held the manager at gunpoint then gained access to a safe and took thousands of pieces of jewelry worth over $1 million, authorities said.
