The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced an investigation into Cybercabs after Tesla deployed the two-seater cars without steering wheels, mirrors, or break pedals for free rides on Thursday in Austin, Texas. Tesla announced the cars had gone through a self-certification procedure for compliance.
