Miami Weather: Coastal Flood Advisory Until 7 PM Sunday
A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for coastal Miami-Dade until 7:00 PM EST Sunday (NWS Miami, issued 3:35 AM EDT Saturday), as king tides continue — moderate coastal flooding is expected around high tides, with flooding of lots, parks and roads and only isolated road closures expected, so do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth, and allow extra time. Saturday’s high tide at Government Cut is at 1:12 PM. A high rip current risk is also in effect through 7:00 AM Monday — dangerous rip currents are possible at Atlantic beaches, so swim only near a lifeguard. Halloween night is looking soggy for trick-or-treaters, with showers turning to scattered thunderstorms this evening. See South Florida Halloween forecast looking soggy for trick-or-treaters. Clocks fall back one hour overnight at 2:00 AM Sunday.
Otherwise it is warm and breezy in Miami: showers in the vicinity, 83°F around midday, feeling like 90°F, humidity around 75%, east-northeast winds around 16 mph gusting to 25 mph, and about a 50% chance of rain today, rising to thunderstorms tonight. Today’s high: 83°F. Tonight’s low: 77°F. Sunrise was 7:28 AM; sunset is 6:39 PM.
Tomorrow — Sunday, November 1: thunderstorms, high 81°F, low 76°F, rain chance about 60% by day and 80% at night, with the Coastal Flood Advisory in effect until 7:00 PM EST. Sunrise is 6:29 AM and sunset 5:38 PM after the clocks fall back. The wet pattern continues: thunderstorms Monday (high 80°F, rain 70%) and scattered thunderstorms on Election Day Tuesday (high 82°F), before showers ease Wednesday (high 84°F).
