Star Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney is set to undergo surgery to address a high ankle sprain that will keep him off the field for weeks.
The Hurricanes football program revealed in a statement that Toney had suffered an ankle injury during practice on Wednesday morning.
But Canes fans fear not. There is still hope within the program that Toney could return before the regular season comes to an end, with Miami down to the final four games, starting with Notre Dame on Saturday.
