A bus driver fell asleep at the wheel in Dunwoody, Georgia, causing a crash into trees that injured three people and resulted in traffic violation charges.
Video footage shows the driver struggling to stay awake. Less than 10 minutes later, the driver’s hands were off the wheel as he appeared to doze off again. Seconds later, the bus crossed lanes, veered off the road, and crashed into trees.
Dunwoody police confirmed in a statement that the driver fell asleep before losing control of the bus. They said the driver is now facing charges of distracted driving and failure to maintain lane. His identity has not been released.
