Three people were taken to the hospital on Monday after a vehicle fled from troopers on the Palmetto Expressway in Miami Lakes and crashed, authorities said.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at around 4:13 a.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop on BMW that was speeding on State Road 826 near 47th Avenue.
Troopers said the BMW fled during the traffic stop, and they pursued it.
During the pursuit, the BMW drove off the roadway and onto a shoulder enablement and crashed into a culvert drain and overturned.
Three people inside the BMW were then taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests were made.
FHP said that a cruiser also drove down the shoulder embankment and crashed into the BMW.
